Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and the haaaang. team in New Delhi, India ("we", "us"), which runs haaaang. By signing in, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use haaaang.

1. Who can use haaaang.

• You must be 18 or over.
• You need your own email address, and one haaaang. account per person.
• The details on your profile must be true: your real first name, your real age, and your own Instagram handle if you add one.

2. What haaaang. is

haaaang. helps people find and share weekend plans ("hangs"). Hosts post plans and choose who joins. Guests ask to join. We provide the app; we don't organise, attend, supervise or check the hangs themselves, and we don't vet the people who use them.

3. Hosting

• Describe your plan honestly: where, when, what it will cost, and who it's for.
• You decide who joins. Choose fairly and don't discriminate on the basis of religion, caste, race, disability or sexual orientation. Women-only hangs are the one gender-based setting we support.
• If you need to call a hang off, do it in the app as early as you can.
• Don't use hangs to sell products, recruit for businesses, or charge people to attend.

4. Joining

• If you're accepted, show up, or drop out in the app before the hang starts. Hosts record who showed up, and no-shows appear on your profile as ghosts.
• Respect the host's plan and the other guests.

5. Meeting safely

• Meet in public places, especially the first time.
• Tell a friend where you're going and who with.
• Arrange your own travel, and leave whenever you want to.
• Report anything that makes you uncomfortable using the report button. In an emergency, call 112.

6. What's not allowed

• Harassment, threats, hate speech, or unwanted sexual messages or advances.
• Pretending to be someone else, or creating fake or duplicate accounts.
• Anything illegal, including plans that involve illegal drugs or unsafe activities.
• Spam, scams, or collecting other people's personal data.
• Trying to break, overload or get around the security of the app.

7. Your content

You own what you post: your profile, hangs and messages. You give us permission to store and show it to other members as the app needs to work. You're responsible for what you post.

8. Removing content and accounts

We can remove any content, cancel any hang, or suspend or ban any account that breaks these terms or puts people at risk, with or without notice. You can delete your account at any time by emailing haaaang11@gmail.com.

9. Our responsibility

haaaang. is provided as it is. Hangs happen offline between members, and we are not responsible for what members do, say or fail to do at a hang, or for any loss, injury or damage that comes from one, except where Indian law does not allow us to exclude that responsibility. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other law that can't be waived.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use haaaang. afterwards means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled by the courts at New Delhi.
